"Pending" What does that mean?

​Pending status on IRS where my refund site means that your e-filed tax return has been queued in the system and that the IRS hasn't accepted or rejected it yet. If you e-filed your return before January 31, it will stay in Pending status until the IRS starts accepting and processing returns. Once you receive an acceptance acknowledgment from the IRS you will need to wait 21 days. (note: Your return can say pending until refund date is approved) Don't worry. Allow the IRS adequate time to process your return.
